This is a knitted tube of stainless steel wire mesh.

We call it 'memory' tubing because it can be bent and formed along its length and will pretty much hold its shape. Try and squash it though . . . and it will spring back to its tube shape.
Even kids cannot crush it in their hands.

The tube measures approximately 25mm in diameter, and weighs in at around 64g per metre.

Knitted wire mesh tubing can be used as an arts and crafts material for purposes such as sculpture, beading, creative embroidery and flower arranging.

It can support lighter items, perhaps holding them in position. Made from stainless steel, it has a shiny, silver-grey colour. The open knit means that other threads and wires could be inter-twined for fantastic effect.

It may be cut using tin snips or similar 'proper' tools. We do not recommend the use of kitchen scissors as a safe way of cutting this tough tubing.
