It is a costly mesh to produce; which explains why it is more expensive than most other woven wire mesh specifications. We don't carry a huge stock of this material; which is why we have only made A4 and A3 sheets available. We can supply larger sheets too.Cutting will require very heavy tin snips, or an industrial guillotine. This mesh has always proven to be very popular with engineers and individuals looking to block a gap with a very strong product. Please call us on 01925 406602 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss this if required.Metal Grade316L is the low-carbon form of SS316; which is the stainless steel grade of choice for the food and marine industries. SS316L is a molybdenum bearing grade, and as such it offers better corrosion resistance. It has a slightly higher resistance to heat than the industry standard 304 grade.SS316L can be used for many applications. It is often found in food preparatory equipment, boat fittings, laboratory benches, coastal architectural panels and railings. You may notice from the composition below that it has the same molybdenum content as SS316 (M) but less carbon (C).Composition - C 0.08, Mn 2.0, Si 0.75, P 0.045, S 0.030, Cr 18.0, M 3.0, Ni 14, N 0.10SS316L also has outstanding forming and welding characteristics. Plain WeavePlain weave woven wire cloth is used for the majority of wire cloth woven by The Mesh Company. Each warp wire crosses alternately above and below every weft wire and vice versa. Warp and weft wires are normally of the same diameter.Plain weaves are used for the majority of commercial applications and for filtration where a high flow rate is required.CuttingThis material can easily be cut with kitchen scissors. If you have stronger tools then these will work also. When we are cutting this product in our factory we would use standard issue kitchen scissors as they give an accurate cut.As a responsible supplier we always advocate the use of safety goggles if you have them.
